Each year, we host a special weekend of capoeira workshops which includes the belt changing ceremony for kids and adult students of Capoeira Brasil Calgary, known as the Batizado. Visiting Mestres and guest teachers will put on engaging workshops where students will be evaluated for their applied skills, students and teachers from other capoeira groups will visit to take part, and there will be social events to allow us connect with the community.

Each year, we put on a Brazilian Night show that you don’t want to miss! This is a fun filled evening of high energy shows, music, and Brazilian cultural performances. This is a fundraiser for our group as well as an opportunity for students to participate in the performances on stage.
